Every Child Can! is a one day, six-hour introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program.

Join the Suzuki Association of the Americas (active membership)
No pre-requisite courses or study required

Policies
All fees are non-refundable (unless the course is full before your application is received). Absences cannot be credited or refunded.
Returned check fee or credit card chargeback fee is $35.00.
Attendance for the entire 6 hours of class time is required for SAA course registration.
Please refrain from taking photos or video during the class. No photos/video may be posted online or used in print without written permission from Danette Schuh.

Q. Is it necessary to read or prepare anything before coming to class?
A. No prior reading or study is required, but if you would like to read “Nurtured by Love” by Shinichi Suzuki, you are encouraged to do so. It is a wonderful book and the first book of recommended reading regarding the Suzuki philosophy.

Q. What should I wear?
A. Casual attire is appropriate.

Q. What will we be studying in the class?
A. Every Child Can! focuses on the educational philosophy of Shinichi Suzuki. The course involves lecture, group discussion and some video examples. You will receive a course workbook that will be used for reading and some short written exercises.

Q. Should I bring a lunch?
A. You may bring a sack lunch or you may go out at a nearby restaurant. There are a variety of restaurants nearby. There will be a one-hour break during the class day.
