Wednesday, March 15
8:00am – Official tour kickoff at Buc-ee’s No.3227106 US Hwy 290, Cypress, TX 77433
8:30am – drive (40-50min) to Blue Bell Creameries, 1101 South Blue Bell Road, Brenham, Texas, 77833
9:30am – concert at Blue Bell Creameries Country Store and Ice Cream Parlor followed by complimentary ice cream, peruse the exhibits and shopping

10:45am – pick up your box lunch (included in tour price)
10:45am – drive (2-2:20 hrs) to Cameron Park Zoo, 1701 North 4th Street, Waco, Texas 76707
1:15pm – concert at Cameron Park Zoo followed by Zoo visit (admission included in tour price)

3:45pm – drive (7-14 min) to Central Texas String Academy, at the St. Alban’s Outreach Center, 321 N 30th St, Waco, TX 76710
4:15pm – play-in at Central Texas String Academy, Julia Hardie, Director
—–Casual performance outfit: right-side logo navy t-shirt (Celeste and Abby wear navy t-shirt)
(please enter through the Outreach Center doors which are the ones closest to Waco Drive. Go to The Mahan Commons for the play-in. The Commons is the 2nd right turn, then halfway down the hall on your left.)
5:30pm – drive (9-14 min) to Hampton Inn and Suites Waco-South, 2501 Market Place Drive, Waco, Texas, 76711
5:30pm – check into hotel and enjoy complimentary happy hour wine/lemonade/chips
6:15pm – drive (8-15 min) to Poppa Rollo’s Pizza, 1201 Hewitt Dr., Waco, TX 76712
6:30-8:30pm – dinner at Poppa Rollo’s Pizza (on your own – not included in tour price)
8:30pm – return to hotel to relax and/or swim. (indoor pool and hot tub open from 7am-11pm)

Thursday, March 16
6:00am – breakfast opens at the hotel (included in tour price)
7:15am – check out and drive (1.5-2 hrs) to Fort Worth Stockyards Exchange Building131 E. Exchange Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76164

9:30am – store instruments in the Exchange Building
9:45am – Stockyards Historic Walking Tours 130 E Exchange Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76164 (included in tour price)
10:45am – concert on the steps of the Exchange Building

11:30am – watch the Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive
11:45am – Cowtown Cattlepen Maze activity 145 E Exchange Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76164 (included in tour price)
12:30pm – walk (11 min) or drive (4 min) to Joe T. Garcia Mexican Restaurant, 2201 N Commerce St. Fort Worth, TX 76164
12:45pm – Group Lunch Party at Joe T. Garcia Mexican Restaurant (included in tour price)
Family-style Lunch includes (per person): 2 cheese nachos as appetizers, 2 cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, guacamole, 2 beef tacos, corn tortillas, chips, hot sauce, grilled tenderloin fajitas, grilled chicken fajitas, flour tortillas, sour cream, cheese, and iced tea. (additional items and beverages, including margaritas, may be purchased on your own, directly from the bar. CASH ONLY. Restaurant does not accept credit cards)
2:00pm – enjoy the Stockyards on your own. Stockyards District Walking Map
6:30pm – dinner at the Stockyards (on your own – not included in tour price)

8:00pm – drive (24-35 min) to Best Western PLUS Burleson Inn and Suites, 516 Memorial Plaza, Burleson, Texas 76028
8:30pm – check into hotel (anytime after 3pm) for swimming and relaxing. Indoor pool and whirlpool hours 9am-10pm.

Friday, March 17
6:30-9:30am – breakfast at the hotel (included in tour price)
9:00am – hotel room rehearsal (room TBA)
9:50am – drive (4 min) to Burleson Visitors Center 124 W. Ellison St., Burleson, TX 76028
10:00am – Historical Tour at Burleson Visitors Center
11:15am – Walk (1 min) or drive (2 min) to Fresco’s Cocina Mexicana Restaurant 112 S Main St, Burleson, TX 76028
11:30am – Concert outdoors in Old Town Burleson in front of Fresco’s Cocina Mexicana
—–Casual performance outfit: right-side logo navy t-shirt (Celeste and Abby wear full outfit -vest, hat, etc.)
12:15pm – Lunch on your own in historic Old Town Burleson (on your own – not included in tour price)
1:15pm – Shopping in Old Town Burleson or return to hotel for swimming, or drive to the workshop early to volunteer with workshop set-up
—–Change into Practice outfit: wrong-side logo navy t-shirt for everyone participating in the workshop
3:45pm – Drive (8-9 min from hotel) to workshop location: Russell Farm Art Center 405 W County Rd 714, Burleson, TX 76028 (drive in the main entrance and park behind the Hay Barn)
4:00pm – Workshop check-in, McKenzie’s Fiddle and Suzuki Workshop
4:30pm – Workshop Fiddle Classes
5:15pm – 30-min Dinner break at the workshop (meal included in tour price)
5:45-6:15 – Suzuki Play-In
6:15-6:40 – Fiddle Talk with the workshop fiddle faculty
6:40-7:00 – Dance Class
7:00-8:00 – Fiddle Jam Session & Dance
8:00pm – return to hotel for DESSERT PARTY (Indoor pool and whirlpool hours 9am-10pm.)

Saturday, March 18
6:30-9:30am – Breakfast at the hotel (included in tour price)
—–Wear Dolce Strings light/royal blue t-shirt for everyone participating in the workshop
8:30am – Drive (8-9 min) to McKenzie’s Fiddle & Suzuki Workshop at Russell Farm Art Center
9:00am – Workshop classes begin
11:45am – Lunch on your own (1 hr 15 min). (on your own – not included in tour price) Lunch & snacks available for purchase at the workshop location or nearby fast food lunch on your own
3:45pm – Workshop classes end
3:45pm – Drive to hotel for dinner at hotel and change clothes for concert. (dinner included in tour price)

6:05pm – Drive (8-9 min) to McKenzie’s Fiddle & Suzuki Workshop at Russell Farm Art Center for tuning/warm-up
6:15pm – Tuning/warm-up at the workshop
7:00pm – Workshop concert!
8:30pm – return to hotel (Indoor pool and whirlpool hours 9am-10pm.)

Sunday, March 19
6:30-9:30am – Breakfast at the hotel (included in tour price)
10:45am – Check out of hotel (checkout time 11am)
11:10am – Drive (5 min) to Our Place Restaurant, 950 N Burleson Blvd, Burleson, TX 76028
11:30am – Concert at Our Place Restaurant, Burleson

12:00pm  – Lunch on your own (separate checks, not included in tour price) at Our Place Restaurant, Burleson
1:00pm – Drive (approx. 3 hours 47 min) back to Houston

Dress: we will wear CASUAL PERFORMANCE OUTFITS for all Tour Group Concerts.
            Friday night workshop: wrong-side logo t-shirt
            Saturday workshop day: royal blue Dolce Strings t-shirt
Saturday workshop concert: bring out your Western wear if you have it – hat, boots, etc.
Casual Performance Outfits:
Everyone: New navy blue 2016-17 tour group t-shirt, LOGO ON THE RIGHT SIDE, sunglasses for Milk Cow Blues, blue jeans (or long pants that are denim-colored), sneakers or casual shoes, and socks. (Please try to match the color of your socks with either your jeans or your shoes.) Let’s try to keep the shirt the focal point of the outfit. (please keep your sunglasses in your instrument case). Be prepared for cold weather. Please layer UNDER your t-shirt. Long sleeves are fine. Please try to coordinate colors with the colors in the t-shirt.
Girls: hair pulled back neatly in a ponytail, simple & natural makeup, no jewelry except for small earrings. 
Heart of Texas Girls: add cowboy boots and straw cowboy hat with “bling”. Wear your hair in whatever style works best with the hat.
