Friday 10/16
8:30am – leave from Houston area
11:30am-noon-ish – lunch at Collin Street Bakery take exit 229 off I-45 in Corsicana
3:00pm – earliest check-in time at the hotel
4:30-5:15pm – Pizza Party with Dolce Strings and the Greenville Suzuki Strings (at Central Christian Church right before rehearsal)
5:15-6:15pm – TWINKLING FIDDLES REHEARSAL for Dolce Strings and Greenville Suzuki Strings

6:45pm – TWINKLING FIDDLES advanced players SHORT PERFORMANCE in the “Pre-Show” before the “Asleep at the Wheel” concert

9:00am Fiddle Contest Registration (for those participating in the Fiddle Contest)
9:30am-noon Fiddle Contest (for those participating or observing)

10am-12:30pm Free movie screenings of rarely seen Bob WIlls movies and shorts, presented by Rob Stone from the Library of Congress, Washington DC, at the Texan Theater
11:00am Lunch – please visit the concession booth at Central Christian Church for lunch – all proceeds benefit the Greenville Suzuki Strings program!
11:30am possible live radio interview at The Texan Theater
12:30pm arrive at The Texan Theater (upstairs in the Lounge above the “old lobby” museum area) for tuning and warming up
1:00pm – TWINKLING FIDDLES CONCERT (Dolce Strings and Greenville Suzuki Strings)

9:00-10:00am PAJAMA PLAY-IN! Dolce Strings and Greenville Suzuki Strings enjoy a fun group class style review session and play-in. Wear your pajamas, bring your instruments and come ready for games, donuts, and fun!
Location: “Freedom Hall” (meeting room) at the Best Western Plus Monica Royale Inn and Suites
11:00am – check out of the hotel
11:00am-4:30pm Fiddle Contest Finals (if you are competing or observing)
Location: Greenville Municipal Auditorium 2821 Washington St., Greenville, TX 75401
5:00pm head back to Houston!

Violins, please remember to check which Suzuki pieces you need to review in D Major – down one string – so we can play with the cellos and violas.
Some music & recordings of OPTIONAL harmony parts are included below. Sheet music can be found in the “Suzuki Duets for Violins” book.
As always in a Suzuki group concert, play the pieces you know and sit down and listen to the ones you don’t!
We anticipate being able to perform all the following repertoire, but some music may have to be cut in the event that the concert is too long. We appreciate your flexibility.
