Dolce Strings Touring Ensemble

We are sharing the joy of making music, at home and on the road! Dolce Strings touring ensemble gives Suzuki violin, viola and cello students in 6th thru 12th grades, ages 11 and up, studying in Suzuki Book 4 and higher, the opportunity to learn and polish advanced literature in a group setting, perform exciting concerts and take fabulous trips to wonderful places! Each Touring Ensemble Series begins with a full day intensive workshop, taught by our expert faculty, Meredith Harris, Elisabeth Hope and Danette Schuh, followed by local concerts at exciting venues and out-of town tours. This season, the following exciting events are planned: Society for the Performing Arts Performance Prelude, Zoo Lights Concert, Moody Gardens Concert, Featured performance at the Bob Wills Fiddle Festival in Greenville, New Year’s Eve at Disney World, a featured concerto performance on stage with the Fort Bend Symphony, and more!

Lobby music before Vilde Frang in recital at 7:00pm. All Dolce Strings Touring Ensemble performers will receive free tickets to the SPA concert.

March 11-15, 2016
Texas Tour: Concerts in College Station, Austin, San Antonio. Plans include a tour of the Bush Presidential Library, joint event with Suzuki students in Austin, and a day at Six Flags in San Antonio.

DESTINATION DISNEY

November 2016 – Destination Disney!

Trip to Disney World in Florida, Disney Musical Workshop and performance on-stage at Disney World Theme Parks

As always in a Suzuki group concert, play the pieces you know and sit down and listen to the ones you don’t.
