What they are saying about Dolce Strings

“Hello Danette,
Not sure that I ever wrote you a note to thank Dolce Strings for playing so beautifully in the lobby for the Houston Civic Symphony Concert in March (2017). It truly added so much excitement and warmth to an evening featuring so much young talent.  So at this later date, please know that I appreciate Dolce Strings sharing their music and am thankful that Houston Civic Symphony was part of their schedule this past season.
The Young Artist Concerto concert for the next season is set… Please let me know if Dolce Strings will be able to join the Houston Civic Symphony once more for lobby music.  Sure hope that will work!
Regards,
Dixie Addington”

“We will look forward to seeing you in Dolce Strings!  That is such a neat opportunity for the kids. Thank you so much for all the work you put into it!”

“Hello Danette and Dolce Strings,
On behalf of the Houston Civic Symphony, I would like to thank you again for performing in the HBU Theater lobby before the Friday (March 6, 2015) concert. What a wonderful introduction to the concert for the audience to have a preview of young talent playing in the lobby. Maybe one of these young people will be a concerto winner one day!
I loved the quick transitions from one piece to the next, and the wealth of the repertoire was very impressive. I personally loved how musical each piece was and how well in tune the students played. You have been a fabulous teacher, and the violinists have been fabulous students. It is heart-warming to hear these youth playing so well and to know that they were sharing their talents with the community.
Thank you once again!
Dixie Addington”

“I want to let you know that I love your sounds and perfomance. Your Twinkle was so beautiful and I request to play Twinkle variations myself at the recital of private lesson. I am also a beginner (adult) violin student.”

“…are your ears burning?  We just came from (our school) orch concert where (another parent) and I were just talking about what a wonderful & powerful influence you have been in both our kids’ lives.  No joke!”

“It was such a good experience again to be able to attend your group class. Once (one of my children) got into the car, she started to list the pieces she was not doing well and she is going to  work on at home. That is already the outcomes we have got from your class. I don’t have to tell them what to do. They have had the motivations to do it.”

“It was so fun to hear you and the kids play violin at Whole Foods last night! Thanks for letting us know about the concert. My girls enjoyed it.”

“Thank you both for a wonderful concert yesterday; everyone performed spectacularly (despite the unseasonably warm temp in the room!)… Thanks to all; it was great and kids walked away very proud of their xmas mini-concert.”

“My husband took (my child) to your group class last Saturday for the first time – actually the first time (my child) has ever been in a group class. I was getting worried because he was losing interest in playing violin, but he called me after he left your class and said he had a good time. I was really excited to hear the excitement from his voice. …(my child) practiced really good this week.  He has (most of the music) pretty much memorized.”

“(My child) played (one of the special advanced out-of-the-literature pieces from Dolce Strings group class) with (his private teacher) at his recital…  He was outstanding!!  I know I’m his mom, but wow!!  I was blown away.  He has learned so much from you and is so inspired by your classes.  …what a great influence you have been on (my child).”
